What makes a strong article

1,000–1,800 words
  • Bring a point of viewSend work that has not appeared elsewhere and reflects your own thinking or first-hand experience.
  • Give readers something to useAdd a clear method, example, template, or takeaway—not just a list of broad tips.
  • Make your evidence checkableLink to reliable sources. Explain the context behind results, screenshots, and statistics.
  • Keep the reading experience clearUse useful headings, concise paragraphs, and plain language. Aim for 1,000–1,800 words.
  • Use visuals responsiblyInclude only visuals you created or have permission to use, with credits where needed. Remove private data.
  • Review every detailCheck facts, names, links, and language yourself, including any material developed with AI assistance.

What to leave out

  • Copied or lightly rewritten articlesRecycled posts, plagiarism, or content that adds no original value.
  • Promotional copy in disguiseSales pitches, affiliate-led roundups, and articles built primarily to place links.
  • Unsupported promisesInvented results, misleading comparisons, or claims without evidence.
  • Unreviewed AI outputGeneric filler, inaccurate instructions, or writing submitted without human judgment.
  • Off-topic or unsafe materialUnrelated subjects, confidential information, or tactics that encourage spam and abuse.

A helpful test: would the article still be valuable without a product mention or promotional link?
